Sea Vixen’s custom 3D-printed lures aim to rule the Gulf Stream

Sea VixenCapt. Rick Croson, of Living Waters Guide Service and Offshore Fisherman and entrepreneur Glenn Garrett recently opened an offshore trolling lure manufacturing facility, the Sea Vixen Tackle Company.

The Sea Vixen lures are CAD designed and 3D printed on the latest generation printers to target the big meat fish of the Gulf Stream such as mahi, wahoo, and tuna.  Colors and patterns that are unique to the North Carolina species that provide food for these fish make the lures very effective. Patterns for other species of fish can also be custom-designed to the customer’s specifications.

Sea Vixen doesn’t sell their product in local tackle shops, selling directly to the fisherman online. Their website is scheduled to go live in March/April and include videos to guide any boat owner whether they own  a Center Console or Sportfisher, how to successfully troll their high-tech lures to catch meat fish.

Sea Vixen chose Hooks Systems to install their leading edge 3D printing and Computer Assisted Design systems.  Hooks Systems provides 24 x 7 monitoring, security and support to Sea Vixen’s network and servers.
