Drawing from the practice of their business and corporate law attorneys, as well as those who practice in the intellectual property arena, the Rountree Losee attorneys can capably provide comprehensive representation to entrepreneurs establishing themselves in the alcoholic beverage and craft brewing industry.

Rountree Losee is an Affiliate Member of the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild and has provided a catalyst for their brewery partners and their continued growth through Southeastern NC.

The firm was actually brewing before they ventured into the legal aspects of starting and operating a brewery. While their brewing skills have taken a back burner to their law practice, they are still passionate about brewing and provide comprehensive brewery representation.

Managing partner Geoff Losee, also known as the “Craft Brew Consigliere,” is an ideal partner for brewery success. Keep an eye out for appearances by Mr. Losee as a guest brewer at any of the above breweries. Last November, Wilmington Brewing Company sold out of his Black Friday Black IPA – so delicious!

Rountree Losee’s attorneys recognize that the unique environment of coastal North Carolina is a great resource to its citizens, but also presents substantial legal risk through laws, regulations, and other environmental protections.

Their coastal and land use attorneys are heavily experienced in dealing with applicable regulations, proactively addressing proposed rules with regulators, and regularly attending meetings of the Coastal Resources Commission and other regulatory bodies.

They have successfully assisted numerous commercial and residential clients with issues related to the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA), riparian and littoral rights, seawalls and bulkheads, storm water regulations, wetlands contamination, boundary disputes, and easements, and insurance coverage, among many other issues.

Rountree Losee recently had their I.T. Support company, Hooks Systems of Wilmington, NC, help the firm move its Case Management to a cloud-based solution. Hooks Systems also performed an in-depth security assessment and remediation program to ensure that the firm’s data and processes are extremely secure.
