Microsoft ends support for Windows 7-No worries for Hooks Systems clients

More than 5  years after its release, Windows 7 is the most popular PC operating system on the planet. According to Net Applications, it’s running on 56 percent of all PCs on the web! And today is the day Microsoft is officially dropping support for the software. If you’re running Windows 7, this doesn’t mean that your PC is about to stop working. But it means that you’ll no longer be able to call Microsoft to get free tech support. And Microsoft is going to stop adding new features to the operating system.

End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance. This is the time to make sure you have the latest available update or service pack installed. Without Microsoft support, you will no longer receive security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal your personal information.

Support for Windows 7 without service packs ended on April 9, 2013. Be sure to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 today to continue to receive support and updates.
NOTE: All Hooks Systems client computers have this vital service pack already installed through our unique I.T. RemoteCare service suite of 24 x 7 Monitoring and Maintenance services.
