Elderhaus allows seniors to remain independent


NC Elderhaus provides an alternative to nursing home care for those 55 years of age and older through its PACE Program 

PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly) supports independent living while at the same time promoting community and quality of life by providing medical care, adult day care, on-going rehabilitative therapies, in-home care services, transportation and counseling.

If you are eligible for Medicaid, depending on your income, PACE services are offered free of charge.  If your income is over the threshold determined by Medicaid, you may still be eligible to participate by paying a premium.

Elderhaus PACE provides:

Medical Care Primary and Specialty Care Emergency and Urgent Care Prescription medications, including home delivery Dentistry, Podiatry and Optometry, Outpatient labs and X-rays, Long-term care, All Transportation to Elderhaus and doctor visits.

Social Work Ongoing supportive case management services.

On-going Rehabilitative Therapies Physical, occupational and speech therapy, nutrition counseling Medical equipment, such as walkers and wheelchairs

In-Home Care Services Personal care and light housekeeping

 Day Care Activities Recreational therapy programs such as art, music, exercise and field trips. Lunch is provided.
